When God became a man so He could become sin, so we could become His children
The eyes that search the hearts of men
... were looking out through blurry orbs
The feet that would walk the road to Calvary
... were supple, petite and spotless
The ears that hear every prayer
... were small and couldn’t decipher language
The head that would wear the crown of thorns
... was soft on top with downy hair
The hands that would be pierced
... trembled and grasped at His mother’s finger
The voice that spoke all of creation into existence
... was crying out for breath
What a wonder, what a gift! The Eternal God who created us … became one of us … so He could become … what is worst in us and conquer that. He did it all for the joy set before Him. The joy of sinners redeemed in fellowship with Him, pleasing to His Father.
Merry Christmas!
the END

Hi Rose,
I think that's the perfect perspective for our reflections for Christmas. ;-)

Well thought and well written.

kc,
I love thinking about the hypostatic union. I am so enthralled with what the Lord has done for mankind. He is so awwesome!
bhedr,
Thank you.
Chris Matthews ... that liberal?
How about Brit Hume? ;~)
By Rose~, at 12/23/2005 10:38 PM
Its not that Matthews was a liberal its just that he asked questions in spite of everything. Sometimes you were left wondering if he had conservative tendencies and then you asked...Why did he just ask that? what was the reason?

Hi Rose, nice to 'meet' you. This is beautifully said. Merry Christmas.

Remarkable thought, Rose~.
God Bless

bhedr,
I guess I really never watched Matthews enough to catch that, but listening to the Golden Microphone with talent on loan from God, I could tell he was a liberal sympathizer! Now, after reading your explanation, I appreciate that you were complimenting me. (Maybe I need to figure out a way to work that into my sidebar ...)
Kitty,
I have seen you around! Thank you for saying "hi." I will check out your spot soon. Your avatar is really neat.
Dyspraxic Fundamentalist,
Sound stuff. ;~) Merry Christmas!

Yeah Rush is talented and so is Chris Matthews, but just remember that both are lost in their sin so I was speaking totaly objectively.
Chris is indeed liberal though.
I hope and pray that both come to a saving knowledge of God and trust and rely on His Salvific power alone.

Bhedr,
Well, we can only hope that God had chosen them in eternity past. ;~)
(just kiddin')
Actually, I have thought about that a lot in RL case. Wouldn't he be a voice for the gospel?! Of course, that is probably fleshly thinking. God has chosen the foolish things of the world ...
By Rose~, at 12/24/2005 12:30 PM
True thoughts! he chose a little shepherd boy didn't he.
By Bhedr, at 12/24/2005 3:27 PM
That is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing, and merry Christmas.

Rose,
That was a beautiful poem! I also like your avatar.
RL's brother, David Limbaugh, is saved and very much active in the Lord's work.
I am also glad you met Kitty Cheng. Her heart is so on fire for Jesus.
By mark pierson, at 12/24/2005 5:37 PM
Yeah David Limbaugh does sound like a brother!
Rose the verse is excellent! I'm going to print it up and show people. And sell it for moolah.

Rose~, I hope you and John and your children are having a lovely Christmas day.
God Bless

Yes Merry Christmas Rose.
In one sense a true conversion from Matthews and a total reversal of direction in his life might be a clearly seen.
In one sense Rush muddies the waters with some of the speech he uses and in one sense has enabled Christianity to embrace some things which perhaps we might not should embrace, but then I should leave that for another day.
May God quicken whom He will and may he be glorified alone in so doing.

Hannah Beth,
Thak you for stopping by! I hope you are enjoyed the Christmas day in your world.
Forgiven,
This is true. This is love: that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Bluecollar,
Thank you for saying that to me. I have heard about David, but don't know a whole lot.
HK Flynn,
Thanks! Don't spend it all in one place! :~) Hope you enjoyed your time with your family.
Dyspraxic,
We had a lovely holiday, it was unusual and interesting. We normally go to my family for Christmas Eve and John's family for the Day. This year, we satyed home alone on the Eve and went to church on the Day (we actually met the Doxoblogist at our church - that was really delightful) and then we went to my mother's for the rest of the Day. My sister came from Colorado at 5 p.m. which was another unusual thing. But "lovely" is a great word for it all.
Bhedr,
In one sense, I hope you had a very happy Christmas! (you have to re-read your last comment to get that - I am picking on you) :~)
By Rose~, at 12/26/2005 9:13 AM
Thanks Rose,
In one sense that makes sense:-)
