These are people that are so very reasonable.

Although I don't necessarily agree with everything all these people say, I do think we have something essential in common - proclaiming that the Word of God is the absolute truth.

Does this blog take a terribly long time to load onto your screen?

It has recently been brought to may attention that one of my friends has a hard time viewing this blog. He said it takes a very long time to load. I recently (4-6 weeks?) redesigned the blog, and I am wondering if this contributed a problem. Reader, can you tell me if takes a long time to load my blog onto your screen? Please share any other helpful observations.

  • Rose I'm never sure if it's blogger or not. Sometimes importing from outside links can cause delay but yours seems reasonable today.

  • Hi Rose,

    Sometimes your banner loads, and that's all. But . . . wait another 15-20 seconds and the rest eventually comes. Or if you hit the 'refresh' button it quickly comes.

    Blogger has had problems with one of their filers lately (yours, as it happens,) so I thought it might be them. But now that you mention it . . . hmmmmm.

  • Yeah, it's very hard to know if it's Blogger or not, because it seems lately that almost daily, I experience a lot of slowness on Blogger sites (not just yours).

    I hope they get it worked out soon. Tonight, your site loaded just fine for me, though, on DSL. Only took about 7 seconds, I think.

    I occassionally, especially recently, have been having some unpredictability in speed and even connection, but it seems to happen to other blog entry attempts at the same time. Probably not isolated to your blog.

  • Does your friend have dial-up or broadband? It could be the large image in the header takes some time on a dial-up connection. But since I have cable, everything is muy rapido...

  • I don't know, Jeff. I have DSL and it loads fine - like 4 seconds. We are spoiled, but maybe his service is naff. :~)
