The Naughty Governor of Illinois

Trying to sell a senate seat to the highest bidder?! For shame. The seat was barely warmed up, is not even vacated yet, and was on the auction block.

This scandal makes me truly cynical because I know that for every time you actually HEAR or LEARN of something like this coming out into the open, there are 100 times that it goes undiscovered.

The Chicago way. Well, we know a little bit about that around here.

  • I took a CAD class at the community college by me in Illinois and the teachers hated that Governor. They said that he hit the teachers retirement money or something like that if my memory serves me correctly. My teacher said that it wouldn't affect him but future teachers. We have such crooks in office here in Illinois.

    Hi Rose,

  • Good day, Rose!

This situation makes me more nervous than I even dare to admit. There are some scenarios playing out in my mind that I wish I could shake free from. The fact that I am not hearing these same fears in the media makes me more nervous - people are afraid to consider the ramifications. Wait 'n' see, right?

  • I think that, before we cast too many stones at the governor, it would do us good to remember that one known as a man after God's own heart was corrupted by power.. King David used his power to take another man's wife and then murder her husband.

The good news in all of this is that corruption, like other crimes, is often found out. King David was confronted by the prophet Nathan.. the governor was locked up by the FBI.

Let's pray that Governor Blagojevich will find a bit of humility in the aftermath of this public humiliation.

  • Thanks for all your comments here. I read them but forgot to acknowledge you all. I liked the comic PM. heehee
GNSH, explain why you call it "gloomy indeterminism?" I am sure there is something that I am not getting in your humor there. American girls can sometimes be slow, ya know. ;~)
