Rose and John - I am so happy for you! Congratulations! Welcome Levi Matthew. May he, along with Elliot, Charlotte and Simon go on to be loving and humble servants of Christ, just like Mom and Dad.

yes congradulations brother!! And give our best to Rose. Did she have it natural or epideral?
My wife had her last two natural. She was quite a trooper. Well praise God for another lineage among the tribe of Levi.

Levi is a great name, and especially Levi Cole!
Get as much rest as you can, Rose and John.

Wonderful! I think he'll have it easier with Levi Matthew than with Sera. Nice pick.

Thanks every one...
Rose is catching up on some well deserved rest. It may be some time before we get back into the swing of things.
Merry Christmas,
Brother John

Merry Christmas John!
,...Uhmmm.... Anyone have a guess or advice on how long Rose should / might break from blogging?
I say 5 weeks is how long she should break but 3 weeks is a guess on how long she will...
(This way we can keep visiting here... and help ourselves to the fridge.)
By Unknown, at 12/23/2006 6:22 PM
Just as long as you don't take all of the chip dip like my boys did today Jodie. Honest to goodness my wife bought a lot of chip dip what with our company and all and it was gone in a hearbeat and I barely got any. I should think though that Rose has her fridge stocked with formula...but oh thats right it comes in a can so it must be in the pantry or something.

Congrats, what a lovely Christmas for you this year, God bless you and yours...

I recall when we had infants, back before the Civil War, or as the locals say around here, the War of Northern Aggression :o), we did not get a full nights sleep for several months. Rose and John ought to be able to feel no pressure to get back on until they feel refreshed and ready, or that they can't stand being away from blogging, whichever comes soonest. :o)
With Matthew away, Rose taking care of her family; I can pull quite a bit of mischief. Calvinism can stage a mighty comeback. It's predestined! :o)

wahoo, wow, yeah ! and all that to John and Rose. If God families like you keep following the biblical mandate then the earth will be populated with Godly offspring!

Congratulations Rose! Guess that either my 12/24 prediction was off or ... well I guess that there isn't another explananation :)
Merry Christmas and blessings for a great 2007!

Congratulations, and an excellent name! And what a Christmas present for all. His peace be with you!
By Cleopas, at 12/25/2006 10:08 AM
Thanks all of you for the congratulations and the well-wishes!
This really really means a lot to me.
HK Flynn thinks I will stay away from blogs for 3 weeks. (She doesn't know me?)
I am feeling better already. It is almost comfortable to sit at a computer again (hehe)
Brian,
I had the first two kids with no pain meds and that was enough. These last two I have had the epidural. This time the epidural worked so well that I did not even feel a thing of the pain after it was applied. I was having small talk with the nurse when the baby was crowning. It is incredible.
FORMULA??? I am an exclusive breast-feeding mother. Breast is BEST!
(There is no other context under which a Christian woman could say such things.)
Earl,
Calvinism making a comeback? You are so reasonable and who would have known WITTY too?! I really enjoyed your comments here!!!
Steve,
Yes, you were good! I will put down my stones. haha
Now where is Bhedr as I pick them back up? hehe
I don't know what John means by "rest". He must be talking of the daytime hours. I need to teach Levi the difference between night and day. Discombobulated.
Maildad,
Thanks for visiting!
Cleopas,
I am glad you liked the name. Would it surprise you to know that Matthew (although the baby shares a middle name with him) thinks that "Levi" is a gimmicky name?
tee-hee
We love him for his honesty.
We love you for your kindness.
I love all of you for your KINDNESS and your visits.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ... and GOD BLESS US ALL, EVERY ONE.

Congratulations guys. It reminds me of a Bill Cosby bit when he said, "The reason my wife and I have four children is because we did not want five."
By jeff, at 1/02/2007 10:21 AM
Thanks all of you for your congrats, for your blessings.
Jeff, that is funny for me to read your comment. John and I were just discussing how we do not want to have 5!!!
