Give me a greeting when you visit. I appreciate nice-ness.
You can address another blogger ... and even disagree with them, that is fine. All I ask is that you leave censure and hand-slapping to me.
Speak up ... about the posts.
Be nice!
Earl - As I write, teach Sunday School, I think of people like you in my audience. It gives me a sanity check of what I am saying. Would what I say pass the "crap" or sanity check of you or others that I know?
Todd - With blogs like this one there is plenty to be hopeful for in the blogsphere.
Matthew - Its nice to read an edifying Christian blog ... You are so level-headed.
Mark - You're real! The blogosphere needs more real people like you around.
Loren - I'll bet you stay up late nights thinking about all the theology that must be swimming through your head. I just want to say that it's great to see the ways in which God is challenging you, and using you to minister through your blog. The things you, and others here, have shared, are very thought provoking!
Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18)

Hi! I just came across your blog today and find it lovely. I just wanted to let you know about a new discussion forum I have, and to invite you to register and participate as you are able. You are most welcome! Forum rules are straightforward and brief. http://z6.invisionfree.com/denominations Have a wonderful day! God bless you.
Antonio, LOL. Now I wonder if you are really clueless about who they are, but I doubt it.
JD, Can't miss him.
DF, John says he thinks you are kinda right about that.
LEO almost hits the jackpot ... followed by Dawn! It IS Ken Ham on the left and Buddy Davis on the right. (But who is the middle man?) This photo was taken at the Creation Museum in Kentucky (the greater Cincinatti, OH area). The man in the middle is ... drumroll please ... my dear husband! John, aka J. Wendell, aka the Earnest Contender! He had the opportunity of going there about a month ago for a preview of the museum that is hopeful to open next Spring. I just love that picture of John and I think it is cool that he is standing with such gifted and ambitious Christian men. I pray for their efforts.
NO FAIR! The picture of John is no longer on his website for us to compare! I do not remember John wearing glasses in the pic that used to grace us on his site. Am I wrong? And the mustache looks darker than I remembered.
But now that you mention it, I do see the John I remember seeing on his site in his smile. :-)
Dawn, Maybe I will talk him into using this photo as his avatar or putting it in his sidebar.
pgadremaer, Your kind words are very sweet. Thanks for visiting here! Now, stop the "just for men" rumours! John has never dyed any part of his hair or body. ;~) Your encouragement is appreciated, Chris. God bless you and your family.
HK Flynn, Thanks for visiting! Yes, I love your summer picture. I hope to see you around more.
SHANE, Is that THE Shane from BBC? Wow - I am glad to see you visit here! John looks so cool in that picture don't you think? I think he looks even cooler with Jeff and Shane. That is, when Shane is around! I hope we will see you and your wife sometime over the coming months. Tell her I said HI.
HI Rose~ You said, "I think he looks even cooler with Jeff and Shane."
You are so right!
Shane said, "Wow John is moving on up from Jeff and Shane to Ken and Buddy."
Brother, Ken and Buddy have had (and continue to have) a profound impact in my life, but usually through books, tapes, their world-class website, and occasional seminars. I am used to distance with them. BTW I don't think they know me by name and may not know me by appearance either.
Jeff and Shane, have a continual impact on my life. No books, tapes, etc. can compare with real iron and genuine brotherly affection. I don't miss Ken and Buddy when their not around. Shane and Jeff on the other hand know my name, face, and my many flaws and foibles and are still not ashamed to call me “brother”.
I do miss you brother, and am so blessed in my walk because of you.

Are they extras from Jurrasic Park?

Ken Ham and is that Buddy Davis on the right?
By Leo, at 8/31/2006 2:10 PM
I saw the Creation museum on the t.v. in a documentary.
Maybe it is just my eyes, but the neoclassical-style statue of Adam looked remarkably like Ken Ham.
God Bless

Is the one on the far left Deno from the Flintstones? C'mon tell us the suspense is killing me.
By J. Wendell, at 8/31/2006 10:29 PM
I recognize two of them. One is Ken Ham and the other is Buddy (I forget his last name).

LOL "just for men" never entered my mind! Hmmmmmm.

I think John's using this photo as his avatar is a great idea!
By Dawn, at 9/03/2006 4:18 AM
Hey!!!
Buddy and I both wear hats!
Either it’s because we can't afford "just for men" or because if put together we don't have as much hair on our heads as Brother Ken.
Dawn, Chris, and Rose~ Thanks for your fun wit and encouragement.

When I first saw the photo when it was posted, I recognized John in the middle from previous pictures I've seen of him.
So, these other guys are hair challenged? Not as much as me. If you saw me in real life, you'd see I'm really hair challenged.

Earl,
I remember that very small picture of you and your daughter at her wedding - I saw the glare on the top of your head. ;~)

I love the photo, and yes I do think John should have it on his blog somewhere...
It's a great shot of all three...
Love your new avatar, Rose. How do you like my summertime shot?

Wow John is moving on up from Jeff and Shane to Ken and Buddy. You are the man John. The man saved by grace that is!
