Let's be reasonable with one another, shall we?

My Little Buddy

My son Simon is almost 6. We let him pray at dinnertime tonight. He prayed with his voice becoming very emphatic toward the end of the prayer:
"Thank you Lord for the food, thank you for everything, and please make the Devil get nicer!"
My husband, John and I both tried to cover our faces so as not to be seen laughing during prayer time. We were seen.

  • Sounds like there's a good foundational teaching of "love thine enemies; bless them that curse you" going on at the Cole place. ;-)

  • You should have seen some of the things Spurgeon did in his young prayer life.

    Bless you, Rose!

  • That's really cute! We let Justin pray at the dinner table too. He's 8. His prayers are similar as well. They have such an authentic faith when they are this young. It's wonderful to see!

  • Of course, given God's sovereignty, if He wanted to do so, ... .

  • Hi Jeff,
    Yes indeed.

    Hi jel,
Sometimes you just can't help yourself.

    KC,
That is the kind of guy that Simon is. He often prays that God would bless the bad guys too.

    Bluecollar,
Spurgeon is really interesting. The more I read, the more I sorta scratch my head and smile. I read somethign by him the other day that I am trying to figure out how to use here at RR. Look for it!

    Dorothy,
Hi! I am glad to see you. Yes, the child is a neat thing to behold. They teach us so much.

    Jim McDermott!
You are going to remind me of God's sovereignty on every post - thank you for that! We know, don't we, though, that God will not make the devil be nicer. He will not make him.
Thanks for stopping by again. I look forward to many more visits from you. ?

    K?
