I have closed down comments on this post for personal reasons.
Lou Martuneac has blocked two of my comments from his blog. I have never had any comment blocked or deleted from any blog ever, as far as I can remember. It really surprised me. This may seem senseless to most of you, but I am going to post the comments that were blocked. I just don't like the way he made it seem like I said something really terrible.
First, I asked Lou if he was praying for the latest person that he is attacking on his blog, Jeremy Myers. He says to me:Jeremy is one your “friends.” Have you called or e-mailed him to question where he is headed? Have you?
So I left him two comments to answer his objection to my question about praying for him. Here is what Lou said to me:Rose: You have more than once posted comments to me that had all the appearance of an ulterior motive...
And with those and more words, he blocked my two comments. He went on to describe me as a "New Evangelical" who doesn't care about sound doctrine and whose former pastor, Earnest Pickering, would be ashamed of. He makes it sound like I have said some really controversial things and he will not let them post on his blog. He says I am "disingenuous" and "trying to demonize him (Lou)." He accuses me of "overlooking" what he calls "false doctrine." (Ask Antonio and Matthew if I "overlook" our disagreements)
So then, I left him this comment:Lou, I am amazed that you won't post either of those comments! What was offensive in them? I am stating that I am *not* Jeremy's friend. I am Antonio's friend and Matthew's, in that you are correct. I am becoming concerned over your motivation, here, brother, that you would attack me like this and then not let my comment of explanation come through. What gives? Should I open a post at my blog with the two comments that you wouldn't let through to show anyone who may visit yours just how "motivated" you are to paint a wrong picture of me, Lou? I will see what you will do - I will give you a couple of hours to decide.
So then, he let's that one go through and says:I posted that one so my guests to see you giving me a two-hour ultimatum. I am NOT going to publish your two comments here. Go ahead and post the comments I rejected. Where is your sense of outrage when da Rosa blocks comments? Where is the outrage when da Rosa blocks, edits and then replies to his twisted version of the original comment so that he can refute it (like he did to Stephen a few weeks ago)?
Am I supposed to know everything that goes on on every blog?
I do not know what he is talking about. I have never had any comment blocked by anyone anywhere. So I have never been outraged by this sort of thing. I am not waiting the two hours because he made it clear that he didn't care anyway. I suppose he will call me a promise-breaker for that.
Here are the two comments that were so terrible that I was BLOCKED (shock, outrage) from Lou Martuneac's blog comments:
TERRIBLE, BLOCKED COMMENT #1:
I am not Jeremy’s friend. I have not ever commented on his blog, nor has he ever commented on mine, to my knowledge. I have never emailed him, nor have I ever received an email from him.
Lou, you said: "Furthermore, you are well aware that Jeremy blocks me and select others from his and any GES blogs. I have also e-mailed him at least 5+ times on previous issues, and have not received any reply."
I am *not* aware of that. How would I be? I do not frequent the GES blog.
I am glad that you are praying for him. TERRIBLE, BLOCKED COMMENT #2:______________________________________________
Another thing - how do you even know what I think of Jeremy’s declarations? For all you know, I may, like you, believe that he is sliding into fatal doctrinal meltdown. I have not said. I have not commented on his post.
In your last few comments about me, you are all wrong about me.
Lou, you said: "Let’s all get along at the expense of Scripture is your cry."
Lou, you also said: "You view those of us who follow the biblical mandates to contend for the faith (Jude 3), mark and avoid (Rom. 16:17) the teachers of false doctrine as trouble makers."
Lou, You obviously don’t understand me, but then, why should I be surprised?
_________________________________END BLOCKED COMMENTS.
I am so controversial... and New Evangelical. (Don't tell my husband - "the Earnest Contender" hehe)
Lou, if you happen to read this, I want you to know, I am not mad at you. I appreciate the education. Now I have just a small measure of understanding of how the others feel who you have attacked. I also want you to know that I will not prevent you from posting tasteful comments here on this blog too. You can even disagree with me - or question my sincerity; I will not turn on comment moderation for you. You are always welcome here. After all, I am a NEW EVANGELICAL, according to you, right? So I wouldn't block a divisive
guy like you, either, would I? :~) Happy New Year.
